Taza in Chicago

Pretty straight forward kebab place. All food is made fresh and portion is nice. Food is not over seasoned and the platters are pretty filling. Comfortable seating and decorated motif. Falafel were made to order. Hummus was smooth as silk and I like they used sumac spice on top of the food which gave a nice accent of flavors. All food was delicious and sauces were unique and plentiful! Deserts were really good and made with real butter! Great place to pick up great food at a good price!

I love Middle Eastern food 🥘 and if you are looking for a better version of halal guys try them out.Do ask for their special hot sauce and tahini sauce which makes it taste even better. I enjoyed the meal so much I took one home which I ate at 5 am in morning 😁Amin whose the head chief made special tea for us when it was raining and gave baklawa sweet for free. Whenever I’m in Chicago I’ll definitely visit this joint.

two days ago was the first time we went to this good restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the high quality food and fine drinks and with the honest cost. We will surely go back there in a short time.

Amazing place! I got a little lost meandering the city after the CTU Rally on 10/23/2019. Tired and hungry from marching, I popped in here. The staff was super friendly and offered free falafel samples upon entry. It was hot and fresh, seriously tasty. I ordered the falafel salad. It was hearty and delicious. The best part... They comped my meal because I'm a CPS teacher. The support means so much and it was a truly awesome meal. Taza Cafe, I really appreciate it. Thank you!

Counter serve Mediterranean food served by upbeat staff. Their food were well seasoned and made to order! Would highly recommend this place for lunch.

The food is good but overpriced. The price range is much higher than its competitors like IDOF and NafNaf. If the management think that they are offering a big portion ryhen reduce the portion and the price. Most of your customers are the regular office people and all they want is a quick meal at a decent price . You offer plates and combos at $13 plus tax. I can't eat that portion size alone if I have to go back and work. They don't have a restroom so if anyone wants to come here with kids, use the restroom elsewhere before you come here.

This is a place that I would definitely come back. The service is quick and friendly despite of the big affluence of people, they know what is to give good service and most importantly THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! With good portions and fare prices. I went to have lunch with my Hubz during the week thus it was the rush hour, although we made ourselves space in the small place yet was comfortable enough to have our meal. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes amazing Mediterranean food, quick service and good price, and consider take out order.

I celebrated my graduation this evening in this delicious restaurant. Well we had a incredible evening and the restaurant was absolutely the reason for that successful celebration. The stuff collaborated in a very nice style, the meals were very good and my guests were extremely overjoyed. We shall absolutely come back again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

This spot is my favored. I go to a lot of restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The team is very chummy and the food they offer is so fresh and tasty. I would always prefer to have a good meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Went here during the afternoon because I was craving hummus and pita. They gave me a sample of their falafel and a free bowl of soup, and the falafel was probably some of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be returning for a whole lunch soon!

Taza cafe is one of the best halal Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food options in Chicago downtown. They have a simple delicious menu. I love their salad and meat mix.

Simple but delicious Mediterranean food. Tastes on par with fancier restaurants. I got the potatoes, falafel, baba, and roasted veggies. Would probably eat here every day if it was more convenient. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, I felt like they definitely wanted me to come back, which sadly isn’t a common feeling around lots of restaurants these days!!

Good service but the food was not good

Have had a chicken shawarma sandwich (pita) and a falafel sandwich here, both were great. Juicy and savory chicken. Falafels are flavorful and not too heavy/greasy. Hummus was great on the sandwich and as a side. Good portions, very filling for a good price.

Great lunchWe decided to try mediterranean today. They serve some very good food, we picked a combo with chicken and Gyro. I picked the dill rice. The service was very fast, the food well prepared and tasty. Will definitely be going back.

It is a good grab on the go kinda of place. I think that their chicken shawarma needs more flavor and spices to boost the taste.

Gone downhill. The lentil soup tasted like it was a week old, so did the Jerusalem salad :( Haven't been here in years, was in the area and decided to have a falafel sandwich and soup.

Catered Taza for an event at the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Not only was the food delicious, but we received several complimentary additions to our order. Everyone was super happy and could not stop talking about how good the food was. Thanks, Taza!
